about.

Mish Wright is an Australian ocean artist residing in Dunsborough, in the South West region of WA, where she draws inspiration from the natural beauty of her surroundings. Local beaches of the South West are featured in many of her artworks.

In 2010 Mish began her studies in Fine Art at Curtin University, WA, before graduating with a Bachelors degree in Digital Design in 2013, with a career of web design in mind. After years of project based work and travel, she found herself drawn back into the world of fine arts, with beautiful scenery from around the world inspiring her to sketch in her travel journals.

In 2017, in her spare time, Mish started experimenting with different techniques and mediums, such as resin, alcohol inks and acrylic pours. Her hobby turned into her passion when she moved to Dunsborough in late 2019. Her inspiration comes from nature, and she likes to incorporate natural elements in her work to give an earthy feel (some of her pieces are created with flame torch, heat gun, blow drier, sand and water). Mish has worked with a wide variety of mixed media, but acrylic and resin have become her principal mediums of focus. Mish aspires to create pieces that express her love for seascapes from aerial, shoreline and underwater perspectives.
